THE STORY
SO FAR…

It all began with the fusion of two passionate Italians. Frankie Dettori the acclaimed jockey synonymous within the world of horse racing and the culinary genius Chef Francesco Mazzei…

THE FIRST STEP

In 2023 a proposal was offered by Royal Ascot for a restaurant space within the Royal Enclosure and a tiny kitchen.

Not being one to miss a fantastic opportunity – and with a slightly mad team, we put these two crazy Italians together, both with a passion one for food, the other for cooking.

We needed a name – and Frankie having won 7 races in one day lead to the creation of Numero7.

The decision was to create a relaxed dining experience with the elegance of Royal Ascot and with a feeling of Southern Italy, an informal setting with a generous and delicious menu.

Numero7 has held centre stage at Royal Ascot within the Royal enclosure, for its 2nd year and delighted to be awarded with the title of most visited restaurant over the last two years.

Was too proof test this concept and what better place than at The Grosvenor House ballroom to 1000 VIP and horse racing guests at Frankies Dettoris celebration event.

A four-course bespoke menu was curated and designed by Francesco Mazzei with the Numero7 concept for over 1000 VIP guest’s, celebrities and the good and great of horse racing.

The concept has been tried and tested, and ready to roll out with The Jockey Club racecourses.
